All-on-6 replaces a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge carried on six implants rather than four. At Valentmedica an arch costs £4,200–£6,200 all-inclusive. The two extra implants spread the chewing load and leave real margin if one ever fails — which matters most in the upper jaw.

All-on-6 replaces an entire arch with a single fixed bridge supported by six implants — typically four placed vertically and two angled at the back, spreading the load across more anchor points than All-on-4.
The principle is identical to All-on-4: a rigid bridge splinted across multiple implants shares load, which is why a fixed temporary can be attached on the day of surgery. The difference is purely how many anchor points carry that load, and how far back the bridge is supported.
Six implants distribute chewing force over a wider span, which reduces stress on each individual implant and on the bridge itself. It also means the bridge is supported further back, so there is less unsupported overhang at the rear — the cantilever, which is where full-arch bridges tend to fracture.
| All-on-6 | All-on-4 | |
|---|---|---|
| Implants per arch | 6 | 4 |
| Load per implant | Lower | Higher |
| Rear cantilever | Shorter | Longer |
| If one implant fails | Bridge often salvageable | Usually destabilises the bridge |
| Bone required | More | Less |
| Price per arch | £4,200–£6,200 | £3,200–£4,800 |
If you are weighing the two, read our All-on-4 page alongside this one. The honest position is that neither is universally better — it depends on your bone, your bite and your budget.
A Valentmedica All-on-6 arch costs £4,200–£6,200 all-inclusive across both trips. The same treatment in the UK is typically £13,000–£20,000 per arch.
| Treatment | Price (GBP) | Final bridge | Nights in Turkey |

For an upper arch, usually yes. For a lower arch with dense bone, All-on-4 performs well and the difference is harder to justify. The question worth asking your implantologist is not "which is better" but "which would you place in my jaw, having seen my scan" — and then asking why.
Elsewhere you usually pay for the operation alone. A Valentmedica package also includes your hospital stay, hotel, transfers and a personal coordinator.

All-on-6 suits patients who need a full arch replaced and have enough bone to take six implants — particularly in the upper jaw, or if you have a heavy bite.
Our self-check below gives you a starting answer, and a Valentmedica implantologist reviews your panoramic X-ray free of charge before you commit to anything.
Two trips: six nights for surgery and the temporary bridge, five for the permanent one, with four to six months between.
You send a recent panoramic X-ray. An implantologist assesses bone volume, confirms whether six implants are achievable, and you receive a written fixed quote.
Examination, new X-rays and a 3D CBCT scan. Impressions are taken so the laboratory can prepare the temporary bridge.
Remaining teeth removed, bone ridge shaped, six implants placed under local anaesthetic with sedation if you want it. Two and a half to three and a half hours per arch.
A fixed acrylic bridge is attached. You leave with teeth and eat soft food on them that evening.
Swelling peaks then settles; the bite is refined.
Fly home with antibiotics, aftercare instructions and your implant passport.
Bone bonds to the implants and the gums settle. You wear the temporary throughout, with monthly coordinator check-ins.
X-rays confirm all six implants have integrated.
Precise impressions, then the framework and tooth set-up are tried in for you to approve shape and shade.
The permanent bridge is screwed into place and the bite refined.
Final check and fly home with your guarantee documents and cleaning kit.
The hospital and hotel you will be using, and the specifics you can check before you pay a deposit.
The facility is named to you in writing, with its licence and accreditation numbers, so you can verify it rather than take our word for it. If you would like to see the building, ask: we can usually arrange a visit before you decide.
Two and a half to three and a half hours per arch under local anaesthetic, with sedation available. Extractions, implants and the temporary bridge all happen in one sitting.
The surgical sequence is the same as All-on-4; the difference is the number of osteotomies prepared and the resulting load distribution. That is also why it takes a little longer and needs a little more bone.
Expect marked swelling for about a week, soft food for six to eight weeks, and four to six months on the temporary bridge before the permanent one is fitted.
All-on-6 carries the same risk profile as All-on-4, with one meaningful advantage: losing a single implant is far less likely to cost you the whole bridge.
Valentmedica works with licensed dental clinics in Istanbul whose implantologists are registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health, with in-house CBCT scanning and their own laboratory. You are given your dentist's name and registration number before you pay anything.
Keep your implant passport and show it to any dentist who treats you. Full-arch work needs the correct system-specific components to service.
Extractions are almost always included, many patients treat both arches together, and a sinus lift is sometimes needed in the upper jaw to make six implants possible.
The main sequencing question with All-on-6 is bone. Where the upper jaw has insufficient height for the posterior implants, a sinus lift may be done at the same appointment or as a separate stage months beforehand.
If your scan shows there is not enough bone for six implants even with grafting, All-on-4 with angled implants is the usual fallback — and it is a good one, not a consolation prize.
Send a panoramic X-ray before booking, stop smoking, plan both trips, and prepare for six to eight weeks of soft food.
Implant survival at ten years is above 95% in published studies, and the bridge itself is the part that wears — acrylic typically around ten years, zirconia considerably longer.
The functional result is the headline: fixed teeth that do not move, no palate coverage, and the return of foods most denture wearers abandon. With six implants the bridge is supported further back, so biting on the molars feels more secure than with four — the difference patients most often describe after switching.
Longevity comes down to cleaning. There is a deliberate gap between bridge and gum that must be cleaned under daily with a water flosser or superfloss, plus a hygienist twice a year familiar with full-arch work. Patients who maintain it keep their bridges for decades. You can see cases at both stages in our dental before and after gallery.
At Valentmedica, £4,200–£6,200 per arch all-inclusive across both trips, or £7,800–£11,800 for both arches. That covers extractions, six implants, the temporary bridge, the permanent bridge, five hotel nights on each trip and all transfers. UK pricing is typically £13,000–£20,000 per arch.
It distributes load across more implants, supports the bridge further back and leaves more margin if one implant fails. But it needs more bone and costs more. For an upper jaw it is usually the better choice; for a lower jaw with dense bone, All-on-4 performs very well.
Upper bone is softer and less dense than lower, so each implant achieves less initial grip, and the upper arch is longer. Spreading load across six anchor points compensates for both.
Yes — a fixed temporary acrylic bridge screwed to the implants, not a denture. The permanent bridge is made four to six months later once the implants have integrated and the gums have settled.
With six implants the bridge can often be modified to work on the remaining five, or a replacement implant placed without remaking everything. This is the main practical advantage over All-on-4.
Possibly, particularly in the upper jaw where a sinus lift may be needed to create height for the posterior implants. Your CBCT scan shows exactly what is required, which is why we ask for an X-ray before quoting.
Under the bridge, daily, with a water flosser or superfloss, plus normal brushing. Plus a hygienist every six months who is familiar with full-arch work. This is the single biggest determinant of how long it lasts.
Acrylic on a titanium bar is lighter, cheaper and easier to repair, but wears and discolours and typically needs replacing at around ten years. Monolithic zirconia is far more durable and does not stain, but is heavier and harder to repair. For most patients the zirconia upgrade is worth it.
Temporarily. A full-arch bridge changes the space your tongue works in, and most patients notice a slight lisp for one to three weeks. Reading aloud accelerates the adaptation.
Yes. It adds one night to the first trip, avoids a second surgical recovery and lets the bite be designed as a whole. Recovery is more demanding — expect a fortnight before you feel yourself.
The surgery is under local anaesthetic with sedation available, so you should feel pressure rather than pain. Afterwards expect marked swelling for about a week, with the first three days the hardest.
Four to six months from first surgery to permanent bridge, across two trips of six and five nights. The waiting is bone integration and it cannot be shortened.
