A mommy makeover combines a tummy tuck, breast surgery and liposuction in one operation to restore the changes pregnancy and breastfeeding leave behind. With Valentmedica, an all-inclusive mommy makeover in Turkey costs £4,500–£7,500, compared with £12,000–£20,000 for the surgery alone at private UK clinics, and includes your surgeon, hospital stay, hotel and airport transfers.
Drag the slider to compare. Every body is different, and individual results vary.
A mommy makeover (also called a mummy makeover) is a personalised combination of body-contouring operations, usually a tummy tuck, a breast lift or augmentation and liposuction, performed together under one anaesthetic to restore the abdomen, waist and breasts after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Pregnancy stretches the skin and the stomach muscles, and breastfeeding often leaves the breasts smaller, softer or lower than before. For many women, these changes remain even after they return to their pre-pregnancy weight: loose skin and stretch marks below the navel, a gap between the stomach muscles (diastasis recti) that makes the tummy bulge, stubborn fat on the waist and hips, and deflated or sagging breasts.
A mommy makeover is not one fixed operation. Your surgeon builds the plan around the changes that bother you, and the combination often includes the procedures below. Treating several areas in one operation means one anaesthetic, one recovery and one trip.
| Procedure | What it treats | Learn more |
|---|---|---|
| Tummy tuck | Loose skin, stretch marks below the navel and separated stomach muscles | Tummy tuck in Turkey |
| Breast lift | Sagging breasts and low nipples, with or without implants | Breast lift |
| Breast augmentation | Lost breast volume, with implants or your own fat | Breast augmentation |
| Liposuction | Stubborn fat on the waist, flanks, back or thighs | Vaser liposuction |
At Valentmedica, a mommy makeover in Turkey costs £4,500–£7,500 in 2026 as an all-inclusive package. A tummy tuck with a breast lift sits at the lower end, while adding implants and liposuction of the waist and back moves the price towards the upper end. Your exact price depends on the procedures you combine and your length of stay.
| Combination | Price (GBP) | Hospital nights |
|---|---|---|
| Tummy tuck + breast lift | £4,500–£5,800 | 2 |
| Tummy tuck + breast lift with implants | £5,200–£6,600 | 2 |
| Tummy tuck + breast augmentation + liposuction | £5,500–£7,000 | 2 |
| Full makeover: tummy tuck + breast lift with implants + 360° liposuction | £6,200–£7,500 | 2 |
Prices are for 2026 and include surgery, hospital stay, hotel and transfers. US dollar and euro prices vary with exchange rates. Your exact price is confirmed in writing after your online assessment.
Your final quote depends on which procedures you combine, whether you need a full or mini tummy tuck, whether you choose implants and which type, how many liposuction areas are treated, the surgeon's experience, the hospital category and the number of nights you need. When comparing quotes, check that implants, garments, blood-clot prevention and hotel nights are all written into the price.
Elsewhere you usually pay for the operation alone. A Valentmedica package also includes your hospital stay, hotel, transfers and a personal coordinator.

Patients choose Turkey for a much lower all-inclusive price on a large combined operation, experienced body-contouring surgeons, modern private hospitals, short waiting times and a supported hotel recovery, with a coordinator on call during the first, most demanding days.
Turkey has become one of the world's leading medical travel destinations. According to Turkish industry figures reported in July 2026, the country welcomed around 1.4 million health tourists in 2025, generating over $3 billion in revenue. Post-pregnancy body contouring is one of the most requested aesthetic categories.
The operations in a mommy makeover are among the most common in cosmetic surgery: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons recorded 171,064 tummy tucks, 153,616 breast lifts and 306,196 breast augmentations in the US in 2024.
You may be a good candidate if you have finished having children, are at least 6 months past giving birth and have stopped breastfeeding for several months, are close to a stable, healthy weight, do not smoke (or can stop) and are in good general health.
Most patients stay in Turkey for 10 to 14 days: arrival and consultation on day one, surgery on day two, two nights in hospital, then hotel recovery with check-ups, drain removal and dressing changes until your surgeon clears you to fly.
Send photos of your abdomen and breasts from the front and side, and your medical history. A plastic surgeon reviews your case and you receive a personal plan and written quote.
Your driver meets you at the airport. You meet your surgeon, agree the final plan, choose implants if needed and complete your blood tests and anaesthetist review.
The operation takes about 4–6 hours under general anaesthetic. You wake up with an abdominal binder, a surgical bra and usually small drains.
Nurses help you walk early to support your circulation. Your surgeon checks your wounds before you move to the hotel.
You rest, walk little and often and go to your check-ups. Drains are usually removed during this time.
Once your surgeon confirms you are fit to fly, you head home with your garments, medication and aftercare plan.
Share progress photos and questions with your coordinator and surgeon. We recommend telling your GP or doctor about your surgery.

A mommy makeover takes about 4–6 hours under general anaesthetic, needs two nights in hospital and a 10–14 day stay in Turkey, and most people return to work after 4–6 weeks. You cannot lift children for 4–6 weeks. The final result shows after 6–12 months and lasts long-term if your weight stays stable.
| Mommy makeover | |
|---|---|
| Operation time | About 4–6 hours, depending on the combination |
| Anaesthesia | General anaesthetic |
| Hospital stay | Usually 2 nights |
| Time in Turkey | 10–14 days |
| Garments | Abdominal binder and surgical bra for about 6 weeks |
| Driving | After about 2–3 weeks, when you can brake hard without pain |
| Lifting children | Not for 4–6 weeks |
| Back to work | 4–6 weeks; desk work sometimes sooner |
| Full exercise | After about 6–8 weeks |
| Final result | 6–12 months |
| Scars | Low across the abdomen (hidden by underwear) and around or under the breasts |
| Valentmedica price | £4,500–£7,500 all-inclusive |
Under general anaesthetic, your surgeon usually starts with liposuction, then performs the tummy tuck, removing loose skin and repairing the separated stomach muscles, and finally the breast lift or augmentation, before closing all incisions in layers and applying garments.
Expect to walk slightly bent for the first week, have drains removed within about a week, avoid lifting children for 4–6 weeks, return to most work after 4–6 weeks and restart full exercise after about 6–8 weeks. Swelling settles over several months, and the final result shows after 6–12 months.
| When | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Tightness and soreness in the abdomen and breasts, controlled with medication. You walk short distances slightly bent forward. |
| Week 1 | Drains are usually removed. You move around more easily and can shower when your surgeon allows it. |
| Week 2 | You walk more upright and feel more like yourself. Most people fly home around days 10–14. |
| Weeks 2–3 | Light daily activity at home. Driving is usually possible once you can brake hard without pain. |
| Weeks 4–6 | Most people return to work. You can start lifting children again when your surgeon agrees. |
| Weeks 6–8 | Most swelling has gone down and you can gradually return to full exercise, including core work. |
| 6–12 months | The final shape is visible and the scars continue to fade and flatten. |
Swelling, bruising, tightness across the abdomen, numbness below the navel, sensitive nipples and tiredness are normal after a mommy makeover and settle gradually. Increasing pain, fever, a swelling that keeps growing, a wound that opens, or a painful, swollen calf or shortness of breath are not normal and need urgent attention.
Good aftercare means walking little and often from the first day, wearing your abdominal binder and surgical bra day and night, taking any blood-clot prevention as prescribed, avoiding lifting children and heavy objects for 4–6 weeks, not smoking, protecting your scars from the sun and attending every check-up, including remote follow-ups.
A mommy makeover in Turkey can be as safe as at home when a qualified plastic surgeon performs it in a licensed, accredited hospital, with proper checks, blood-clot prevention, enough time before flying and a clear aftercare plan. Serious complications are uncommon, but combining operations does carry more risk than a single procedure.
The main risks are blood collection (haematoma), fluid collection (seroma), infection, wound-healing problems, wide scars, numbness, asymmetry and, less commonly, blood clots in the legs or lungs. Implants carry their own risks, such as capsular contracture.
Large studies help put these risks in context. In a study of 25,478 tummy tuck patients published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2015, the major complication rate was 3.1% for a tummy tuck alone and 4.3% when it was combined with breast surgery. The risk was higher with a BMI of 30 or more and with age over 55. A 2026 meta-analysis of 8 studies and 138,020 patients, published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, found no significant difference in complications between doing a tummy tuck and breast surgery together and doing them in separate operations.
The right combination depends on your body. Most mommy makeovers include a tummy tuck; the breast part can be a lift, an augmentation or both; and liposuction is added where stubborn fat remains. Your surgeon may also suggest leaving out procedures you do not need, or staging them.
| If you mainly have… | Usually suggested | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Loose tummy skin and sagging breasts | Tummy tuck + breast lift | The most common combination |
| Loose tummy skin and small, deflated breasts | Tummy tuck + breast lift with implants | Restores both shape and volume |
| A small pouch below the navel and small breasts | Mini tummy tuck + breast augmentation | Shorter scar and recovery |
| Loose skin, fat on the waist and back, and sagging breasts | Full makeover with 360° liposuction | Longer operation; sometimes staged |
If loose skin after major weight loss also affects your arms or thighs, these areas are usually treated in a separate operation, such as an arm lift or a thigh lift, to keep each operation safe.
Reach a stable weight, stop smoking and nicotine at least 6 weeks before surgery, stop breastfeeding at least 3 months before, review your medication and supplements with your surgeon, arrange childcare for 4–6 weeks, and pack loose, front-opening clothing.
A mommy makeover gives a flatter, firmer abdomen, a more defined waist and fuller, lifted breasts. The results are long-lasting if your weight stays stable and you do not become pregnant again. The scars are permanent but placed low on the abdomen and around the breasts, and they fade over 12–18 months.
You will see a clear change straight away, although swelling hides the final shape for several months. The repaired stomach muscles give a flatter profile and often better core support. Ageing and weight changes affect the result over time, and a future pregnancy can stretch the skin and muscles again, which is why surgeons recommend waiting until your family is complete. At Valentmedica, a mommy makeover in Turkey costs £4,500–£7,500 in 2026 as an all-inclusive package covering the surgeon, hospital stay, hotel and transfers. A tummy tuck with a breast lift costs less, while adding implants and liposuction costs more.
Yes. At private UK clinics a mommy makeover usually costs £12,000–£20,000 for the surgery alone. A Valentmedica all-inclusive package in Turkey costs £4,500–£7,500, including accommodation and transfers.
Most mommy makeovers include a tummy tuck, a breast lift or augmentation (or both) and liposuction. The exact combination is planned around your body and goals during your consultation.
Most patients stay 10 to 14 days. This allows for two nights in hospital, check-ups, drain removal and a fit-to-fly check before you travel home.
Most surgeons recommend waiting at least 6 months after giving birth, and many prefer around a year. You should also have stopped breastfeeding for at least 3 months and be close to a stable weight.
For healthy patients, yes. A 2026 meta-analysis of 138,020 patients found no significant difference in complications between combining a tummy tuck with breast surgery and doing them separately. Your surgeon may still recommend two stages if you have risk factors such as a high BMI.
Most surgeons advise not lifting children or anything heavy for 4 to 6 weeks, to protect the muscle repair and your wounds. Arrange help at home for this period.
Most people return to work after 4 to 6 weeks. Some people with desk jobs return sooner, while physical jobs may need longer. Full exercise usually restarts after 6 to 8 weeks.
Yes, a mommy makeover does not usually affect fertility, but a pregnancy can stretch the skin and separate the stomach muscles again. That is why surgeons recommend waiting until you have finished having children.
The tummy tuck scar runs low across the abdomen, where underwear or a bikini usually covers it, and the breast scars sit around the areola and sometimes down the breast. Scars fade over 12 to 18 months.
The NHS advises waiting 7 to 10 days after a tummy tuck before flying, and after a combined mommy makeover most surgeons prefer 10 to 14 days. Your surgeon will confirm when you are fit to fly.
With Valentmedica you keep direct contact with your coordinator and surgeon after you fly home, so photos and questions can be reviewed quickly. We also recommend that you inform your GP or local doctor about your surgery and seek urgent local care for any emergency.
