Terms of Use

The terms covering this website, and how they relate to your treatment agreement

Two separate things are covered here. The first is this website — what the information on it is and is not. The second is the outline of a treatment agreement, which is set out in full in your written quote and which prevails over anything on this page.

  • Information, not medical advice
  • Quote terms prevail over this page
  • Nothing limits your legal rights

Using this website

By using this site you accept these terms. They were last updated in 2026 and we will date any future change.

This website is operated by Valentmedica, Istanbul, Türkiye. Our legal entity details are on the corporate identity page, and registration numbers are provided on request.

What you may do

  • Read, print and save pages for your own use, including taking them to your own doctor.
  • Link to any page on this site.
  • Quote short extracts with attribution and a link.
  • Use the calculators and self-assessment tools as often as you like.

What you may not do

  • Copy substantial parts of our written content for another website or commercial material.
  • Use automated tools to scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people.
  • Reuse the patient photographs shown during consultation, under any circumstances.
  • Present yourself as Valentmedica, or imply a partnership that does not exist.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its systems.

Availability

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee either. Pages are updated as clinical practice and prices change, and a page you read six months ago may no longer say the same thing. Where a figure matters to a decision, confirm it with us in writing rather than relying on a page.

The medical information on this site

Written by people who work with clinicians, reviewed by clinicians — and still not a substitute for being examined.

What the figures mean

  • Prices are indicative ranges, not quotes. Your written quote is the only price that binds either of us.
  • Recovery timelines, graft counts, implant volumes and weight-loss projections are typical figures across many patients. Yours may differ substantially and a difference is not in itself a problem.
  • Success and complication rates are drawn from published literature and our own records, and are stated as ranges rather than single numbers because that is how the evidence actually reads.
  • The calculators produce estimates from the figures you enter. They are planning aids, not assessments, and no one is accepted or declined by software.

Where to take it

If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service rather than us. If you are at home after treatment with us and something is wrong, use the aftercare number you were given — and if it is urgent, seek local medical attention first and tell us afterwards. Delay is the risk, not the cost.

Treatment you should have at home

Several pages on this site say that a particular treatment is better arranged in your own country, or that your own health service may fund it. That is deliberate, it is accurate, and it is worth more than the enquiry it costs us.

Enquiries, quotes and bookings

What each step commits you to — which, until you pay a deposit, is nothing.

  1. An enquiry commits you to nothing. You can stop at any point, and we will not chase you.
  2. A clinical review happens before any price exists. A surgeon or dentist examines your photographs and history, and may ask for more.
  3. We may decline your case. A refusal on clinical grounds is final and cannot be overridden commercially, by us or by you.
  4. A written quote sets out the procedure, the named clinician, the facility, the fixed price, what is included, what is excluded, the stay length and the complications policy. It is valid for 30 days.
  5. A booking exists only when you have paid a deposit against a specific quote and we have confirmed dates in writing. Until then nothing is reserved.
  6. The quote terms prevail. Where this page and your quote differ, your quote wins — and if you spot a difference, tell us, because one of them is wrong.

What a fixed price means

The quoted price covers what the quote lists, and does not change because a procedure took longer than expected or because you needed an extra night. It changes only if you ask for something different and agree the new price in writing first. If a surgeon decides during the assessment in Istanbul that a different operation is appropriate, you are told the revised price before anything proceeds — never afterwards.

Payment, changes and cancellation

Stated as terms rather than as a sales page, including the parts that are not in our favour.

If we cancel

If we cancel or postpone — surgeon illness, a facility problem, or a clinical decision that your case should not proceed — you are offered new dates or a full refund of everything you have paid us, including the deposit. We do not keep money for an operation we did not perform.

How payment works

  • A deposit against a specific written quote, with the balance payable before discharge unless the quote says otherwise.
  • Bank transfer or card. We never ask for cryptocurrency, gift cards, money transfer services or payment to a personal account — anyone asking you for those in our name is not us.
  • Card details go to our payment provider. We never see or store a full card number.
  • Invoices are itemised and in English, which matters if you are claiming any of it back.

Complications and revisions

Your quote sets out what happens if a complication occurs, including which revisions are covered and for how long. Read that section before you pay a deposit rather than after, and ask us about anything that is not explicit. A company unwilling to put its complications policy in writing before payment is telling you something.

What is not included

  • Flights, unless your quote says otherwise, and travel insurance, which is yours to arrange.
  • Treatment for a pre-existing condition unrelated to the procedure.
  • Costs arising from your not following the aftercare instructions you were given in writing.
  • A revision requested purely because you changed your mind about the result you asked for.

Intellectual property and content

Who owns what on this site, and what you may do with it.

  • The written content, page structure, calculators, illustrations and code on this site are ours, except where stated.
  • The Valentmedica name and logo are our marks. The corporate identity page sets out how they may be used.
  • Typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License.
  • Patient photographs shown during consultation belong to the patients who appear in them and are used under their specific consent. That consent does not extend to you, to us for other purposes, or to anyone else.
  • Third-party names — implant manufacturers, accreditation bodies, hospitals — belong to their owners and are used descriptively, not as endorsements.

Feedback and reviews

If you send us feedback we may use it to improve what we do, without obligation to you. If you write us a review, it is yours; we will not edit it, and we will not offer you anything in exchange for writing one. We do not run affiliate or influencer arrangements, as set out on our partnerships page.

Liability, complaints and governing law

The parts a lawyer writes, with the limits of each stated honestly.

What we are responsible for

  • Assessing your case honestly, and declining it where that is the right answer.
  • Selecting, naming and verifying the clinician and facility before you pay.
  • Arranging what your quote says we will arrange, to the standard described.
  • Providing the aftercare set out in your quote, for its full duration.
  • Telling you the truth about what we do and do not know.

What we are not responsible for

  • The clinical outcome itself. Surgery carries risk and no honest company guarantees a result — anyone who does is lying to you.
  • Flight delays, visa refusals, lost baggage or airline cancellations.
  • Loss arising from information you gave us that was incomplete or inaccurate, particularly an undisclosed condition or medication.
  • The content of third-party websites we link to.
  • Indirect or consequential loss, such as lost earnings, to the extent the law allows us to exclude it.

Complaints

  1. Tell us. Use the details on the contact page and say what went wrong and what you want done about it.
  2. We acknowledge within 2 working days and respond substantively within 14.
  3. If it is clinical, the medical board reviews it and a clinician — not a coordinator — answers you.
  4. If you remain unsatisfied, you may complain to the Turkish Ministry of Health, which regulates both the facility and the clinician.
  5. Nothing in this process prevents you from taking legal action instead, and we will not ask you to waive that.

Governing law

These terms and any treatment agreement are governed by Turkish law, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. Where you are a consumer resident in the UK or EEA, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country, or of your right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you that right.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page. The version that applies to your treatment is the one in force when you accepted your quote, and we will give you a copy of it if you ask.

Terms: frequently asked questions

No. It is general information, reviewed by clinicians, and it is not a diagnosis or a statement that any treatment suits you. Only a clinician who has examined you can say that, which is why no price exists here before one has.

No — they are indicative ranges. Your written quote is the only price that binds either of us, and it is valid for 30 days.

When you have paid a deposit against a specific quote and we have confirmed dates in writing. An enquiry, a consultation and a quote commit you to nothing.

In full if you cancel more than 21 days before arrival, or at any time if a clinician declines your case. Between 8 and 21 days it is held as credit for twelve months; within 7 days it is retained.

You get new dates or a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit. We do not keep money for an operation we did not perform.

Only if you ask for something different and agree the new price in writing first, or if the surgeon examining you in person recommends a different operation — in which case you are told the revised price before anything proceeds, never afterwards.

No. If the surgeon who examines you disagrees with the plan, the plan changes or the operation does not happen. A deposit does not buy an operation a clinician no longer thinks is right.

No, and nobody honest does. Surgery carries risk and outcomes vary between people with identical procedures. What your quote does guarantee is the complications policy, in writing, before you pay.

Flights unless stated, travel insurance, treatment for unrelated pre-existing conditions, and costs arising from not following written aftercare instructions. Your quote lists exclusions explicitly rather than in general terms.

Tell us first — acknowledged within 2 working days, answered within 14, and by a clinician rather than a coordinator if it is clinical. You may also complain to the Turkish Ministry of Health, and nothing stops you taking legal action instead.

Turkish law, with the Istanbul courts having jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, that does not remove the protection of mandatory consumer law at home or your right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you one.

Your quote prevails. If you spot a conflict, tell us, because it means one of the two documents is wrong and we would rather fix it than argue about it later.
