Ten things we do differently
Each of these is checkable. None of them is a claim about how much we care.
- A clinician assesses you before you are quoted. Not a salesperson, and not a price list — the surgeon or dentist who would treat you reviews your photographs, X-rays or bloods first.
- Your surgeon is named, with their Ministry of Health registration number, before you pay a deposit. You can verify them independently, and we publish how.
- Stay lengths are set by clinical need. Seven nights for a gastric sleeve because a leak appears between days three and seven. Three for a hair transplant because of the first wash. We do not shorten them to make a package look cheaper.
- One fixed price in writing, covering everything except flights — and the five exclusions are listed on the pricing page rather than in small print.
- If a scan changes the plan, you are told before anything proceeds, in writing, and you can decline and go home.
- We decline cases. Iron deficiency behind hair loss, a bite problem behind a weak chin, weight not yet stable before contouring. You are not charged, and we tell you what would need to change.
- We are paid by you, not by hospitals or manufacturers. Our margin is the same whichever surgeon we refer you to, which is why these pages name several implant brands rather than one.
- Twelve months of structured aftercare with scheduled check-ins, and your surgeon reviewing photographs rather than a coordinator offering reassurance.
- You fly home with an operation note, a discharge summary and an implant passport, in English, so your own doctor can actually help you.
- We write pages that argue against the treatment they describe. Threads are not a facelift. PRP will not regrow a bald scalp. Fly for botulinum toxin and the flights cost more than the treatment.
Questions to ask anyone, including us
Ten questions that take five minutes and will tell you more than any gallery of photographs. Ask them of every company you are considering.
- Who will perform my procedure? Give me their full name and Ministry of Health registration number, in writing, before I pay.
- How many of this specific procedure do they perform each month?
- Which building will I be treated in? Give me the name and licence number.
- Is there an intensive care unit in that building, and will a consultant anaesthetist be present throughout?
- How many nights will I stay, and what is the clinical reason for that number?
- What exactly is included in the price, and what are the exclusions?
- What happens if an investigation changes the plan after I arrive? Will I be told before treatment starts?
- What aftercare is included, for how long, and who conducts it?
- What happens if I develop a complication after I fly home? What does your written quote say you cover?
- How are you paid — by me, or by the clinic you refer me to?
A legitimate operator answers all ten without hesitation. An agency that does not yet know which clinic will take your booking cannot answer the first four, and that is the single most useful thing you can learn before paying anyone.
What we are not
Being clear about our limits is more useful to you than another paragraph about our values.
- We are not a hospital. We do not own the facilities or employ the surgeons — we select them, we name them, and we are accountable to you for that selection.
- We are not the cheapest. Longer stays, accredited hospitals, named surgeons who do the work themselves and twelve months of aftercare all cost money, and the cheapest packages save it on exactly those things.
- We do not treat children. Nobody under 18, for any procedure, including ones routinely performed on children in their own healthcare systems.
- We do not perform jaw repositioning or orthodontics. Where that is what a patient needs, we say so and refer them home.
- We do not use permanent fillers. Only hyaluronic acid, because it can be dissolved.
- We do not sell flights, and we explain why rather than leaving it as a gap in the price list.
- We cannot guarantee outcomes. Nobody can. What we can do is tell you honestly what is realistic before you commit.
- We are not an immigration adviser, a travel agent or an insurance broker. We will tell you what we know and point you to the authority for the rest.
Where we are more expensive, and why
We are not the cheapest option in Istanbul, and pretending otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on this site.
| Cheaper packages typically | Valentmedica | What it costs you if skipped |
|---|---|---|
| 4 nights after a sleeve | 7 nights | You fly home during the leak window |
| Technician opens channels | Surgeon does | Unnatural hairline, poor growth |
| Surgeon met on the day | Named before you pay | No way to verify anyone |
| Price per graft or per unit | One fixed price | The bill becomes clear on the day |
| Quote from photographs | Quote after X-ray or bloods | The price changes on arrival |
| Aftercare by message | 12 months, scheduled | Nobody to call at week six |
| Liposuction only for gynecomastia | Gland excised too | The disc remains, more visible |
If budget is the deciding factor, we would rather you went elsewhere knowing exactly which of these you are giving up than came to us unable to afford it. Several pages on this site tell patients to arrange treatment at home when that genuinely makes more sense — botulinum toxin and PRP courses in particular.
Meet our surgeons
Why Valentmedica: frequently asked questions
Process rather than sentiment: a clinician assesses you before you are quoted, your surgeon is named and verifiable before you pay, stay lengths are set clinically, the price is fixed in writing, and aftercare runs for twelve months on a schedule. All of those are checkable claims.
No, and we say so plainly. Longer stays, accredited hospitals, surgeons who perform the work themselves and twelve months of aftercare cost money. The cheapest packages save it on exactly those things.
You are given their full name and Turkish Ministry of Health registration number in writing before you pay a deposit, specifically so you can check. Our accreditations page explains how to verify it.
Because they are set by when complications appear. A staple line leak after a gastric sleeve shows between days three and seven — a four-night package sends you home during that window. We would rather quote an honest number.
Regularly. Iron deficiency behind female hair loss, a bite problem behind a weak chin, weight not yet stable before body contouring, a BMI too low for a balloon to help. You are not charged, and we tell you what would need to change.
By the patient, within the package price. We do not take per-referral commission from hospitals, and we do not accept payment from implant or product manufacturers. Our margin is the same whichever surgeon we refer you to.
The ten questions on this page. Who operates and their registration number, how often they do your procedure, which building, is there an ICU, how many nights and why, what is included, what happens if the plan changes, what aftercare, what if there is a complication, and how they are paid.
That is your answer, and it cost you nothing to find out. An agency that does not yet know which clinic will take your booking cannot name the surgeon or the building, which is exactly the arrangement to avoid.
No, and neither can anyone else. What we can do is assess you honestly, tell you what is realistic before you commit, and set out in writing what happens if a complication occurs. A guarantee of outcome is a warning sign, not a reassurance.
Because it is true for some patients. Threads are not a facelift. PRP will not regrow hair on a bald scalp. Flying for botulinum toxin costs more in flights than the treatment. Writing otherwise would make the rest of the site less trustworthy.
Contact your coordinator at any hour. Clinical concerns go to your surgeon the same day. Where a complication relates to the surgery, the aftercare terms in your written quote set out what we cover — including flights and hospital costs in defined circumstances.
Do not take it on trust. Ask for the surgeon's registration number and check it. Ask for the hospital licence and check it. Ask the ten questions. The point of this page is that every claim on it can be tested before you pay anything.
