How this calculator works
It gives a realistic range based on the size of the areas you mark and the density you choose. Your exact graft count also depends on your head size, donor density and hair characteristics, so a surgeon confirms it from your photos.
A graft is a small unit of skin that holds 1 to 4 hairs, about 2 on average. That is why the number of hairs is roughly twice the number of grafts.
It depends on your donor area and the size of the area to be covered. Many patients have their procedure in one session; very large areas may need two.
New hair usually starts growing after around 4 months, and the full result is typically visible between 10 and 18 months after surgery.
Most patients stay around 2 to 3 days per session, including the consultation, the procedure and a follow-up check.
