A Hollywood smile is a full smile makeover — usually 16 to 20 veneers or crowns across the teeth that show when you smile, designed as a set rather than tooth by tooth. At Valentmedica, an all-inclusive package in Istanbul costs £2,600–£5,200 depending on material and tooth count, completed in a single seven-night trip.
Patients who travelled to Istanbul with Valentmedica. Each case lists the number of units, the material and the shade chosen, so you can judge what a natural result looks like against a very white one.
A Hollywood smile is not a single procedure. It is a planned smile makeover in which the teeth visible when you smile — typically 16 to 20 of them — are reshaped and covered with veneers or crowns designed together as one set.
The defining feature is that the result is designed, not accumulated. Your dentist works from photographs and a digital smile design to decide tooth proportions, the shape of the edges, the midline and the curve of the smile line against your lip, then the laboratory makes every unit to that plan. That is why a Hollywood smile looks coherent in a way that individual crowns placed over years never quite do.
| Material | Best for | Appearance | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| E-max (lithium disilicate) | Front teeth, veneers | Most natural translucency | 10–15 years |
| Zirconium | Back teeth, crowns, bruxism | Strong, slightly more opaque | 10–20 years |
| Layered zirconia | Full-arch cases | Good balance of both | 10–15 years |
| Composite veneers | Small corrections, reversible | Stains over time | 3–7 years |
A Valentmedica all-inclusive Hollywood smile in Istanbul costs £2,600–£5,200 depending on the number of units and the material. The same treatment in the UK typically runs £8,000–£20,000.

Flights are excluded so you can book your own. Treatment needed before the veneers can be placed — root canals, extractions, implants, gum treatment or bone grafting — is quoted separately once your X-rays have been reviewed. This is the most common reason a quote changes, which is why Valentmedica asks for a panoramic X-ray before giving you a figure rather than after you arrive.
Elsewhere you usually pay for the operation alone. A Valentmedica package also includes your hospital stay, hotel, transfers and a personal coordinator.

Indicative figures, not a quote. Bars show the usual range in each market; overseas figures are typically surgeon and facility only. Flights are an estimate for a return economy fare. Your price is confirmed in writing after a clinician has reviewed your case.
The best candidates have healthy gums, enough sound tooth structure to work with, and want to change several things at once — colour, shape, alignment and proportion — rather than one.
Take the one-minute self-check below for an honest answer, or send photographs and a panoramic X-ray for a free assessment by a Valentmedica dentist before you commit to anything.
Seven nights in Istanbul with three or four appointments, spaced so the laboratory has time to make your units properly.
You send photographs and a recent panoramic X-ray. A dentist reviews them, flags any treatment needed first, and you receive a written fixed quote with a shade and material recommendation.
Your driver meets you at Istanbul airport and takes you to the hotel.
A full clinical examination, new X-rays and a 3D scan. You and your dentist agree tooth shape, length and shade — in daylight, not under clinic lights. Any preliminary treatment such as a root canal or extraction starts today.
The teeth are prepared under local anaesthetic, impressions or digital scans are taken, and temporary teeth are fitted. You leave with a working smile, not stumps.
Your units are made. These are your free days in Istanbul; you are wearing temporaries and eating softer food.
The units are tried in without cement. This is the point to speak up about shade, length or shape. Adjustments go back to the lab the same day.
The veneers or crowns are bonded permanently, the bite is checked and adjusted, and your night guard is fitted if you need one.
A final check and your transfer to the airport, with your guarantee documents and care instructions.
Your coordinator checks in at one week and one month, and your dentist reviews photographs at six and twelve months.
The hospital and hotel you will be using, and the specifics you can check before you pay a deposit.
The facility is named to you in writing, with its licence and accreditation numbers, so you can verify it rather than take our word for it. If you would like to see the building, ask: we can usually arrange a visit before you decide.
Under local anaesthetic across two main appointments, with a trial fitting in between so nothing is bonded until you have seen it in your own mouth.
There is no real recovery period, but expect sensitivity for a week or two, a short adjustment to the feel of the new teeth, and occasionally a few days of altered speech.
Dental treatment in Turkey is safe in a properly equipped clinic with a qualified dentist and an in-house laboratory. The real risks are over-treatment and poor planning rather than infection.
Valentmedica works with licensed dental clinics in Istanbul whose dentists are registered with the Turkish Ministry of Health, and which run their own laboratories, so adjustments happen in hours rather than days. You are given your dentist's name and registration number before you pay anything.
Ask for your treatment plan, X-rays and material certificates in writing before you fly home. They matter if your dentist at home ever has to work on these teeth, and Valentmedica provides them as standard.
Usually it has to be. Gum contouring, implants, whitening of the lower teeth and root canal work are often part of the same plan, and are done in a sequence that matters.
Sequence is everything in dentistry. Gum disease is treated before anything else; implants and bone grafts need months to integrate before a crown goes on; gum contouring is done before impressions so the laboratory works to the final gum line. A clinic that does these in the wrong order produces a result that fails early.
If your plan needs implants, be sceptical of any clinic that promises to finish everything in one week. Bone takes months to integrate around an implant, and nothing shortens that.
Send a recent panoramic X-ray before you book, have any outstanding dental work assessed, decide on a shade in advance, and plan to eat softly for a week.
E-max veneers typically last 10 to 15 years and zirconium crowns 10 to 20, provided your gums stay healthy and you protect them from grinding. Ceramic does not stain, but it also does not change colour as the rest of your teeth do.
What fails first is almost never the ceramic. It is the tooth underneath and the gum around it. Decay at the margin, gum recession exposing an edge, or a fractured unit in a patient who grinds are the realistic failure modes, and all three are far more about daily care than about the material you chose.
Treat them like natural teeth with slightly more respect: brush twice daily, floss or use interdental brushes around every margin, see a hygienist twice a year, and do not open packaging or bite nails with your front teeth. Choose shade carefully — a slightly warmer, more translucent result ages much better than the brightest option, as you can see across the cases in our dental before and after gallery.
At Valentmedica, £2,600–£5,200 as an all-inclusive package depending on material and number of units. That covers the examination, X-rays, digital smile design, all veneers or crowns, temporaries, six hotel nights, transfers and a five-year guarantee. Flights and any preliminary treatment are extra.
Seven nights in Istanbul with three or four appointments. The gap in the middle is the laboratory making your units, and it is not padding — rushing lab work is the fastest route to a poor fit.
Usually 16 to 20 — the teeth visible when you smile broadly, which for most people is eight to ten on each arch. Some patients treat the upper arch only, which costs less and works well if your lower teeth are a reasonable colour.
The preparation is done under local anaesthetic so you should feel nothing at the time. Afterwards expect gum tenderness and sensitivity to hot and cold for a week or two, manageable with simple painkillers.
No. Preparing teeth for veneers or crowns removes enamel permanently, and those teeth will need covering for the rest of your life. This is the single most important thing to understand before booking.
Most natural-looking results sit around shades BL3 to A1. The very brightest shades photograph well but read as artificial in person, particularly against older skin. Choose in daylight, with your dentist, and look at real patient photographs rather than renders.
It depends on each tooth. Veneers suit healthy, reasonably aligned teeth and remove far less structure. Crowns are needed where a tooth is heavily filled, root-treated or badly out of line. Most Hollywood smiles use a combination, and your dentist should be able to tell you which teeth need which, and why.
E-max veneers typically 10 to 15 years, zirconium crowns 10 to 20. Longevity depends far more on gum health, hygiene and whether you grind than on the material.
Valentmedica packages carry a five-year guarantee on materials and workmanship — debonding, fracture not caused by trauma, and manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage from grinding without a night guard, accidents, or decay resulting from poor hygiene, and it requires you to attend routine check-ups at home.
Yes, after the first week or two of sensitivity. Avoid biting very hard items with your front teeth — ice, bones, nut shells, packaging — which is sensible advice for natural teeth too.
That is exactly what the trial fitting on day six is for. The units are placed without cement so you can see them in your own mouth, in daylight, before anything is bonded. Changes made at that stage go back to the in-house lab the same day.
Quite possibly, and a good dentist will tell you. If your teeth are healthy and well aligned and only the colour bothers you, whitening achieves a lot and removes nothing. If they are crooked, orthodontics gives a better and far more conservative result. Veneers make most sense when you want to change shape, size, colour and proportion together.
